Overview
This is the standard monthly public meeting of the Sheriff’s Department Oversight Board, held in person. Members of the Oversight Board will be present at the meeting. Members of the public are welcome to attend and observe the proceedings and may provide public comment either in person or remotely, including individuals with disabilities who require reasonable accommodations.

Approval of Minutes (Action)
Consideration and possible approval of the January 9, 2026 Board meeting minutes.
Presentation by the San Francisco Sheriff's Office (Discussion)
The Board welcomes Chief John Ramirez from the San Francisco Sheriff's Office who will be the liaison between the Sheriff's Office and the Sheriff's Department Oversight Board.
Ali Riker, Director of Programs, will provide an updated presentation on programs currently operation in the jails, including recent developments and ongoing initiatives.
Budget Presentation (Discussion and Possible Action)
Nicole Armstrong from the Department of Police Accountability, will present the budget for the Office of Sheriff's Inspector General and the Sheriff's Department Oversight Board for FY2026-2027 and FY2027-2028.
Board Member Presentation (Discussion)
President Palmer will provide a presentation recognizing Black History Month.
Future Agenda Items (Discussion and Possible Action)
Board members will engage in discussion regarding possible agenda topics for upcoming meetings.
General Public Comment
Members of the public are invited to speak to the Board regarding matters that were not included in this afternoon's agenda, provided that these topics fall within the Board's subject matter jurisdiction. Speakers are requested to direct their comments to the Board collectively, rather than to individual Board Members, Department staff, or SFSO personnel.
