Commission on the Status of Women Regular May Meeting

The Commission will review and possibly approve minutes from the regular Commission meeting on April 24, 2024.

Director Kimberly Ellis may discuss grant programs; core service area activities; meetings involving City leaders, agencies, and stakeholders; Department staff; past/upcoming events; and/or Department operations.

A. PRESENTATION ON WOMEN AND GIRLS IN SPORTS DISCUSSION

Kim Turner from the Bay Area Women’s Sports Initiative (BAWSI) will give a presentation on topics and

issues surrounding women in sports, as well as the progress to be made in San Francisco and beyond.

B. BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS REPORT DISCUSSION and ACTION

This item is to allow members of the public to address the Commission on matters that are within the subject matter jurisdiction of the Commission and that do not appear on the agenda, as well as to suggest new agenda items for future meetings.
