Managed Care Plan Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs)

The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) requires Medi-Cal Managed Care Plans (MCPs) to have a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with County Behavioral Health Plans (BHPs) for Specialty Mental Health Care and Substance Use Treatment Services.

Each MOU is a binding, contractual agreement that outlines the responsibilities and obligations of the MCP and BHP to coordinate and facilitate whole-system, person-centered care for Medi-Cal Members.

Below are the MOUs between the three San Francisco MCPs and San Francisco County BHP.
