Linda Fadeke Richardson

An unwavering advocate on behalf of the Southeast neighborhood, Linda Richardson has been a champion of environmental justice, education, health, land use, and community revitalization. Ms. Richardson has been an active member of the African American community for decades. In recognition of her leadership in such organizations as the Southeast Alliance for Environmental Justice, Ms. Richardson has received Commission appointments by all of the recent Mayors. Formerly President of the Civil Service Commission, she later joined the San Francisco Planning Commission where she led the community effort to close the Hunters Point power plant in 1998. She has also served on the Human Rights Commission and the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission for the State of California.
