A program for certain businesses that have been open for 15 years or more.

What to do

Check eligibility

Your business must:

  • Have been open for at least 15 years
    • No interruptions longer than 2 years, excluding the COVID-19 pandemic
  • Have 100 or fewer employees
  • Be located in one of the following:
    • Neighborhood Commercial District
    • Neighborhood Transit District
    • Historic District
    • Conservation District
    • Cultural District

Check whether your business is in one of the eligible locations by searching your address in the Property Information Map (PIM), or email sfosb@sfgov.org and we can help.

Apply

You will need to provide:

  • Business name
  • Contact information
  • Business Account Number (BAN)
  • Start date
  • Business type
  • Number of employees
  • Owner demographics (optional)
Apply to the registry

After you apply

We will review your submission and email you a response within 15 days.

A note for Legacy Businesses

Registered Legacy Businesses are automatically considered part of the Neighborhood Anchor Business Program. They do not need to apply separately.
