Equity Annual Reports
As part of Assembly Bill No. 1204, California hospitals submit an annual report to the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI). This ensures a robust, statewide Hospital Equity Measures Reporting Program with data on key hospital performance and patient outcomes, including sociodemographic information such as age, sex, race/ethnicity, payor type, language, disability status, and sexual orientation and gender identity.
