Family Planning Services
Family planning empowers people to choose if and when they have children.
Family planning services include:
- Emergency Contraception
- Pregnancy Tests, Counseling and Referral
- Birth Control Counseling & Prescriptions
- STI Testing and Treatment
- HIV Counseling and Testing
- Reproductive Health Exams
- Infertility Assessment & Referral
- Reproductive Life Planning
- Sexual Health Education and Counseling
- Preconception Health Screening and Education
Services are free or low-cost. They are also completely confidential.
Family Planning services are available at the following SF Health Network clinics:
Maria X Martinez Health Resource Center
Silver Avenue Family Health Center
Southeast Family Health Center
Zuckerberg San Francisco General Family Health Center
Zuckerberg San Francisco General Obstetrics, Midwifery and Gynecology Services
Zuckerberg San Francisco General Women's Options Center
*You do not need to be SF Health Network patient to be seen at City Clinic
And at these SF Health Network youth clinics:
Family Planning Services at DPH are supported by the Family Planning Program
We provide support and technical help to clinic sites.
Those services include:
- Support with Family Pact and Title X programs
- Reproductive health trainings for staff and medical providers
- Family planning protocols and screening tools
- Culturally and linguistically appropriate client education materials
- Outreach and community education
