Long-standing small businesses can receive recognition, business help, and grants.
Recognition
- Legacy Businesses are added to the Legacy Business map.
- Several neighborhoods are featured in self-guided walking tours: Legacy Walks.
- Legacy Businesses receive branded certificates, window clings, stickers, and lapel pins, and other swag, when available.
- Heritage Happy Hour, a program San Francisco Heritage, typically occurs on the second Thursday of every month from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at a different Legacy Business.

- Legacy Businesses receive the quarterly newsletter Legacy Business Light and the monthly Office of Small Business newsletter.
- Legacy Businesses can contact the Legacy Business Program for questions or assistance regarding finances, leasing, permitting, succession planning, or other business challenges. We’ll guide you to the right people who can help you.
Grants
The Business Stabilization Grant is an incentive for landlords to provide long-term leases to Legacy Businesses.
