CPAC members are appointed by the San Francisco City & County Board of Supervisors and the Board of Education, in accordance with state and local law.

Review current vacancies

Current Vacancies

  • "Child Care Consumer" living/working in Board of Supervisors District 1
  • "Child Care Consumer" living/working in Board of Supervisors District 2
  • "Child Care Consumer" seated by Board of Education
  • "Community" representative seated by Board of Education

Attend a meeting

Attend at least one CPAC meeting in-person before applying.

Submit an application

Fill out the Vacancy Application and email it to the CPAC coordinator at melanie@sfcpac.org.

Get application and instructions

Committee reviews applications

After you submit your application:

  • CPAC Membership Committee reviews applications.
  • CPAC Executive Committee votes to recommend that an applicant move forward.
  • Selected member applications will be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors or Board of Education, who make the final decisions about appointments..

Formal appointment

The Board of Supervisors or Board of Education will review applicants recommended by CPAC and make a formal appointment.

New CPAC appointees will be invited to participate as a Member in an upcoming CPAC meeting as soon as their appointment is confirmed.
