Board Member

Gale Rosboro is an accomplished educator, program leader, and advocate with more than a decade of experience serving justice-impacted communities in San Francisco. A native San Franciscan and a proud product of San Francisco public schools, she brings both lived experience and professional expertise to advancing equity, education, and opportunity.
Ms. Rosboro has led transformative efforts within the San Francisco County Jail system to expand access to education for incarcerated individuals, including the relaunch and implementation of in-custody college programming in partnership with City College of San Francisco. Her work has brought college courses directly inside the jail, creating meaningful opportunities for students to begin their higher education journeys while still in custody. She also played a key role in reopening and strengthening the Education Corridor at County Jail #3 following its closure during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to her work in education and reentry, Ms. Rosboro serves as Development Chair for Hyde Street Community Services, supporting initiatives focused on stabilization, recovery, and opportunity for vulnerable populations. She has been featured in “Uplift Black People, Black Voices And Black Issues: A Q&A” by The Ingleside Light and was honored by the Golden State Warriors as an “Impact Warrior,” a recognition awarded to Bay Area leaders who create meaningful change in their communities.
Ms. Rosboro holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of San Francisco, a Master’s degree in Special Education from San Francisco State University, and a California Special Education Teaching Credential.
