2. Consent agenda
Action: To possibly approve minutes from the Council meeting held on August 13, 2025.

3. Support for survivors of sexual assault report
Dr. Sarah Metz, Division Director at the UCSF Trauma Recovery Center, presented an overview of the Working Group on Support for Survivors of Sexual Assault final report.
4. SFPD: Department General Orders (DGO) Update
Asja Steeves, Policy Division Manager at the San Francisco Police Department, provided updates on the Domestic Violence DGO and other upcoming relevant DGOs.
5. Tri-chair updates
Each Tri-Chair or representative provided updates on key issues within their respective focus areas.

Designee from the Human Rights Commission brought up the possibility of the Council discussing or focusing on maternal health. Tri-Chairs agreed to follow up on this topic in future discussions.
6. Elder & dependent adult abuse recommendations
Ali Chiu, Lead Supervisor of Consultative Services at the Institute on Aging, presented three recommendations to strengthen prevention, response, and support for elder and dependent adults experiencing abuse.
7. Family Violence Council streamlining updates
Bobbi Lopez provided updates on the work of the Commission Streamlining Task Force recommendations and proposed amendments to the Council’s founding ordinance.
8. Announcements
Council members were given the opportunity to share upcoming announcements, events, and meetings related to the work of the Family Violence Council.
- The Department of Children, Youth & Their Families designee shared that they are in the process of two Community Grants Request for Proposals.
- The Human Rights Commission designee shared that there will be an upcoming discussion at the Human Rights Commission meeting regarding supporting immigrant communities in San Francisco.
- The Human Services Agency designee shared that they were able to issue prepaid gift cards to help CalFresh recipients affected by the federal government shut down.
