Yerba Buena Island Bioblitz 2023

Join the California Academy of Sciences, TIDA and San Francisco Environment for the 2023 Yerba Buena Island Bioblitz on Tuesday April 11th!

WHAT: We’ll explore Yerba Buena Island with excellent local naturalists and identify and photograph the flora, fauna and fungi we see using the iNaturalist app. Our photos will then be used to generate an interactive map and database of all the biodiversity observed!

WHEN: Tuesday April 11th between 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM

WHERE: We'll meet at the Building 1 lobby for orientation and then head out to various natural sites around Yerba Buena Island.  Drop-ins are welcome at anytime throughout the morning!

WHAT TO BRING: An interest in community science and local native biodiversity, comfortable shoes, a hat, water, sunscreen, and a smartphone**
