This year we gather to honor that extraordinary legacy — and the people who bring it to life every day. Join civic leaders, community advocates, and changemakers for a landmark evening celebrating five decades of impact and setting the stage for the next 50 years of peacebuilding and restorative justice.v
As part of their gala celebration they will be awarding recipients for their annual Peacemaker Awards. District 9 is proud to share that two awardees are from District 9!
- D9 Youth Commissioner and D9 Youth Council Co-Chair Max Trujillo Díaz: Gail Sadalla Rising Peacemaker Award, given to a youth peacemaker who made a positive difference in their school or community by providing anti-violence and empowerment work; and
- Clecha: Community Boards Leadership Peacemaker Award, given to an organization for their exceptional contributions to building peaceful, just, and respectful communities that reduces violence and promotes dialogue in neighborhoods.
