About the Program: Kristie will translate AI jargon, map today’s legal use cases, and look to what the future holds – spotlighting emerging capabilities, risks and ethical issues, and steps legal practitioners can take to stay prepared.

About the Speaker: Kristie Chamorro joined Berkeley Law in 2020 as the Instructional & Educational Technology Librarian. Her work includes evaluating and integrating new technologies into legal research and teaching, with an emphasis on preparing students for legal practice. Before joining Berkeley Law, Kristie worked as a litigation associate at Folger Levin & Khan and later as a Senior Staff Attorney at the California Court of Appeal.  Kristie has given numerous presentations on AI and legal practice to the Berkeley Law community, as well as to state, national, and international audiences.
