Creativity Explored: Camp Imaginate

Creativity Explored Community BBQ: This community BBQ will bring together our youth and adult artists of Creativity Explored for a meaningful celebration of creativity, connection, and community. Participants will have the opportunity to build relationships across generations, share artistic experiences, and learn from one another in a welcoming and inclusive environment. The event will also honor Creativity Explored’s 44-year legacy of supporting artists with disabilities in their creative journeys while celebrating the continued growth of our community through the inclusion of youth and young adult artists. Through conversation, art, and shared experiences, this gathering will highlight the power of belonging, mentorship, and artistic expression across all ages. Photos coming soon!

Filipino American Development Foundation: FEC Galing Bata Program

Padayon sa Kapwa: Learn, Lead, Belong Through Service: Our Padayon sa Kapwa: Learn, Lead, Belong Through Service event will be a youth-led, station-based experience that engages students in meaningful acts of service, cultural learning and community connection. Grounded in the Filipino value of kapwa or shared identity and interconnectedness, this event will provide students with opportunities to care for others both locally in San Francisco and globally. Middle school students and high school interns will lead interactive stations that include assembling “Balikbayan Boxes”, or care packages, with donated items for communities in need in the Philippines; creating community care kits with hygiene and snack items for neighbors/seniors in San Francisco; making personalized affirmation tote bags and pins alongside writing letters of appreciation to community helpers; and participating in a reflection station where students share what it means to care for others. Students will also take part in a cooking station where they prepare simple Filipino meryenda/snacks, to share with families and community members as an act of care and connection. Through hands-on service, cultural expression and reflection, students will deepen their sense of belonging and recognize their role in contributing to a more connected and caring San Francisco community. Bright Future: Our City Shines: Students will engage in a project to identify a problem in San Francisco and propose a solution. Over the course of the project students will develop an idea to tackle what they view as the most important issues in our city. Students will prepare a presentation board with their solutions including a budget, plan of action, and solutions for challenges they anticipate. Our culminating event, Bright Future: Our City Shines, will give students the opportunity to present their projects at City Hall- sharing with today's leaders their ideas for addressing the needs of the city. Students will give brief presentations to event attendees and a panel of judges as they circulate through the event. Awards will be given at the end of the event to recognize the best projects in each age group. Photos coming soon!
