Disclosure of Gifts to the Board of Supervisors

Board of Supervisors

Section 10.100-305(c) of the Administrative Code requires departments to furnish to the Board of Supervisors annually within the first two weeks of July a report showing gifts received, the nature or amount of said gifts, and the disposition thereof.

Additionally, Section 67.29-6 of the Administrative Code, the Sunshine Ordinance of 1999, requires disclosure of any money, goods, or services worth more than $100 for the purpose of carrying out or assisting City functions.

Fiscal Year 2024-2025

  • The Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors did not receive any gifts in Fiscal Year 2024-2025.

Fiscal Year 2023-2024

  • The Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors did not receive any gifts in Fiscal Year 2022-2023.

Fiscal Year 2020-2021

  • The Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors did not receive any gifts in Fiscal Year 2018-2019.

  • The Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors did not receive any gifts in Fiscal Year 2014-2015.

Fiscal Year 2013-2014

  • The Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors did not receive any gifts in Fiscal Year 2013-2014.

Fiscal Year 2012-2013

  • The Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors did not receive any gifts in Fiscal Year 2012-2013.

Fiscal Year 2011-2012

  • The Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors did not receive any gifts in Fiscal Year 2011-2012.

Fiscal Year 2010-2011

  • The Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors did not receive any gifts in Fiscal Year 2010-2011.

Fiscal Year 2009-2010

  • The Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors did not receive any gifts in Fiscal Year 2009-2010.

Fiscal Year 2008-2009

  • Amended on 2/10/2016:  San Francisco Firefighters Local 798, located at 1139 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, provided a ceremonial fire axe to the outgoing President of the Board, Aaron Peskin. The value of the gift is unknown.  The Supervisor took possession of the gift in Fiscal Year 2015-2016.

Fiscal Year 2005-2006

  • The San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, located at 235 Montgomery Street, San Francisco, CA 94104, (415) 392-4520, provided an in-kind contribution in the amount of $16,800 to the City & County of San Francisco (City). The in-kind contribution covered the cost of airfare, accommodations and conference fees for four City officials or employees to join the Chamber's delegation to New York as part of CityTrip New York, May 2-6, 2006.
  • The City, in its sole discretion, determined four City officials who would use this gift to study what is being done in New York regarding regionalized transportation upgrades; improve urban experience; economic development and job creation; revitalization of the waterfront; enhance access to health care and reform of public education. The Chamber of Commerce has no financial interests involving the City.

Fiscal Year 2004-2005

  • The San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, located at 235 Montgomery Street, San Francisco, CA 94014, (415-392-4520) provided an in-kind contribution in the amount of $7,500 to the City and County of San Francisco (City). The in-kind contribution covered the cost of airfare, accommodations and conference fees for three City officials or employees to join the Chamber's delegation to CityTrip San Diego.
  • The City, in its sole discretion, determined that one Supervisor and two Mayoral aides would use this gift to study the best practices for dealing with some of the issues that pose a challenge to San Francisco by exploring the innovative ways that San Diego is growing and nurturing its business community, how technology transfer is spurring San Diego's biotech industry, and what San Diego is doing to build workforce housing and improve transportation. The Chamber of Commerce has no financial interests involving the City and County of San Francisco.
