Local ordinance requires every City department to advance racial equity

ORE and City departments are required by law to develop action plans that identify and address racial disparities in their operations and public services. Our mandate is to repair harm done by government policy decisions that have created or upheld racial disparities in San Francisco. The purpose of our work is to ensure that all San Franciscans have equal access to City jobs, contracts, grants, and services.
