In 2024, DOSW launched a city wide survey to determine the priorities of the community in areas of health and safety, economic resilience, and civic and political engagement. The results are guiding the Department's work in 2-25 and beyond.

<p data-block-key="a8v91">Addressing systemic issues and serving the community starts and ends with an in-depth understanding of both the problems and those impacted. In the fall of 2024, the Department produced a comprehensive community needs assessment, highlighting where our attention is needed most. The survey included respondents of all genders that were 18 years of age or older, and lived, worked or went to school in San Francisco. The results of the survey and details of those most affected and marginalized are guiding the Department's priorities in 2025 and beyond.</p>
