Mobile Community Assessment and Services Center

Access to supervision and reentry services across all San Francisco supervisorial districts. M-CASC will engage clients directly, particularly those experiencing homelessness, enhancing outreach and service delivery. By increasing contact in the community between sworn officers and unhoused clients, the M-CASC aims to reduce homelessness through connections to supportive programs and service providers.

Bicycle Engagement Unit (BEU)

The APD Bicycle Engagement Unit (BEU) will be comprised of a mobile unit of officers utilizing bicycles to enhance supervision and client reporting, especially with those clients who are unhoused. Additionally, as these participating officers increase their presence in the community, they will gain further insight into the living conditions and environments of their clients, support prosocial behavior, and provide community support while also sharing resource information related to mental health and drug addiction services and housing programs.
