Approval of the October 22, 2025 Meeting Minutes

Discussion and Action

The Commission will review and possibly approve minutes from the regular Commission meeting on October 22, 2025.

Prop E Commission Streamlining Task Force Committee

Discussion and Action

The Commission will revisit the outcomes of the recommendations from the October 15, 2025, Proposition E Commission Streamlining Hearing related to COSW, discuss next steps, and vote to approve which proposed actions to move forward with.

Action: To approve next steps/proposed action(s).

Director Mawuli Tugbenyoh may discuss grant programs; core service area activities; meetings involving City leaders, agencies, and stakeholders; Department staff; past/upcoming events; and/or Department operations.

A. COMMISSIONER UPDATE

Discussion

President Jones Lowrey and Vice President Ani Rivera will share an update on the California Convening of Commissions and Anniversary Celebration hosted by the California Commission on the Status of Women and Commissioners are encouraged to provide any other updates on topics related to COSW’s priorities.

B. DOSW PRIORITIES/STRATEGIC PLANNING TIMELINE

Discussion

Staff will provide an update on the strategic planning process and Commissioners’ feedback, including the dates and key priorities for the upcoming community listening sessions and community survey.

The Commission may discuss potential topics for future meeting agendas.

A. Equity in Sports/programming

B. Topics (include more diverse topics of discussion and more inclusive to issues affecting our city and county)
