Cavity Free SF

CavityFree SF works to end oral health disparities and promote optimal oral health for all San Francisco children and youth. We do this by influencing policy, affecting systems level changes, and improving access to prevention and care. Our work is data-driven. We lead with evidence-based best practices in dentistry, pediatrics and community-based work. We work together to offer innovative solutions for policy and systems improvements. Our innovative collaboration allows us to create an impact on the lives of our city’s youngest and highest-risk children.

Cavity Free SF Workgroups

In 2012, CavityFree SF developed a set of strategies based on the citywide assessment of children’s oral health. These strategies are still relevant today. They are:

  • Improving access
  • Integration into other settings
  • Promotion of oral health
  • Evaluation of efforts
  • Coordination of efforts

Oral Health Data

We collect and report data about oral health and access to dental care for pregnant people, infants, and children in San Francisco. Scorecard, trends, disparities, maps, and peer-reviewed research.
