Acceptable Specimen Type(s) for Testing - Patient composite axilla/groin skin swabs collected using  ESwab collection and transport system containing 1.0 milliliter Amies buffer

Transport / Collection Medium - ​​​Transport medium included in the ESwab™ collection system. ​ Ship with cold pack to the laboratory for processing within 9 days of collection.

Storage and Preservation of Specimen - Room Temperature: not acceptable.
​Refrigerated: up to 9 days.
Frozen: DO NOT freeze.

Minimum Volume Required - 1 milliliter Amies buffer (Standard with ESwab™ collection kit)
