Who We Are
Established in 1991, the San Francisco Child Care Planning and Advisory Council (CPAC) is the state-mandated Local Child Care and Development Planning Council (LPC) for San Francisco. CPAC brings together families, educators, providers, community organizations, public agencies, and advocates to identify local priorities and advance policies that address the child care needs of families in San Francisco. CPAC is an official municipal body with members appointed by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and the Board of Education.
Mission
CPAC is guided by its racial equity values to facilitate a process where communities most impacted by systemic inequities drive the child care and early education strategies that meet the unique needs of children birth to age 12 and their families in San Francisco.
Vision
We collaborate to address inequities in early childhood education and out-of-school time systems to ensure families of all races, cultural identities, economic backgrounds, and abilities thrive emotionally, intellectually, and physically.
