What to do
1. Fill out a form
Describe the issue you want to report, and include a photo, if you can.
We will need:
- The location
- The type of object (for example, furniture, mattress, or shopping cart)
2. Track your case
After you report, you will get a tracking number from 311. You can use this number, and your email address if provided, to track your case online or on the SF311 mobile app.
Expected response time
- Electronics or appliances: 4 business hours
- Furniture: 4 business hours
- Human or animal waste: 12 to 24 hours
- Mattress: 4 business hours
- Medical waste:12 to 24 hours
- Neglected building (blight): 21 calendar days
- Oil, paint, or other spill: 8 hours
- Overflowing public garbage can: 2 hours
- Overgrown lot (blight): 21 calendar days
- Other loose garbage or debris: 24 to 48 hours
- Other contained garbage: 4 business hours
- Shopping cart: 4 business days
- Transit shelter or platform: 3 calendar days
