This page includes information on HSH’s proposed projects to which Prop I is applicable. Prop I, outlined in Chapter 79 and Chapter 79A of the San Francisco Administrative Code, describes the types of projects that require public notice and the timing and methods of the notice.

Sober Living Transitional Housing Program

The Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH) in partnership with Westside Community Services (Westside) with support from The Salvation Army is proposing to use the building at 364 9th Street (Currently the Civic Center Motor Inn) for a Sober Living Transitional Housing program.  HSH and partners will be hosting a community meeting to share more details about the proposed project and collect community input.  Please join us!

First Floor at 888 Post

The Department of Homelessness & Supportive Housing (HSH) is proposing to open a
Health and Wellness center in the first floor of the property at 888 Post. This program will provide health and wellness services to young adults ages 18 to 24 that are at risk of and experiencing homelessness.

2177 Jerrold Ave.

The Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH) is seeking to lease the property at 2177 Jerrold Avenue to construct non-congregate shelter for people experiencing homelessness. This property will provide individual cabins to shelter people living on the streets and parking places for people living in their vehicles.

42 Otis Street

The Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH) is proposing to acquire the building at 42 Otis Street. The property would serve as permanent supportive housing (PSH) for young adults. The proposed project would provide long-term affordable housing with onsite social services to people exiting homelessness and further the city’s goal of addressing the homelessness crisis.

The property at 42 Otis has 24 fully functional studio apartments with private bathrooms and kitchens, modern appliances, a rooftop deck, elevator, courtyard, close proximity to public transit, and 4 office spaces with retail space on ground floor.

1174 Folsom Street

The Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH) is proposing to convert the property at 1174-1178 Folsom Street to permanent supportive housing for young adults exiting homelessness. The 42-unit building at 1174-1178 Folsom will have 24-hour desk coverage, property management, and support services provided by a selected nonprofit provider.
