SERVICE
Notify your tenants about your intent to apply to Fix Lead SF
Speak with your tenants and provide them with the required documents
What to know
Bring three documents with you when you speak to the tenants:
- Tenant Notification and Agreement (also called Appendix A of the application)
- Renovate Right
- List of Participating Tenants (also called Appendix B of the application)
Information about the notification documents:
- Appendix A explains what the tenants will need to do during the project
- The tenants will sign Appendix B if they agree to cooperate
- You will need to submit Appendix B with your application
- Federal law requires that you provide your tenants the booklet Renovate Right
What to do
Prepare to notify your tenants
Gather the documents that you will need for speaking with your tenants.
Prepare enough copies for the master and any subtenants that are in each unit. (For example, if there are four families living in one apartment unit, you will need to speak with four families and get four signatures.)
If you do not have a printer, Fix Lead SF can send you copies of these documents. Tell us the languages and the number of copies you will need
Notify each family
- Review the Tenant Notification and Agreement document (Appendix A)
- Provide a copy of the booklet, Renovate Right
- Ask a representative from each family to sign the form (Appendix B)
With signatures of agreement on Appendix B, you are now ready to submit an application packet.
