About Park Categories
This tool is an all-in-one resource to explore the various categories used to describe parks. Use the various drop-down menus below to filter by fiscal year, park size, park type, supervisor district, equity zone, or park service area.
Visit each page to learn more about the definitions and trends for park size, park types, supervisor districts, and equity zones. Park Service Areas are an administrative tool for RPD. These break the city's parks into smaller sections to allow for easier management.

Data notes and sources
Quarterly park evaluations generate the underlying data. We completed analysis and transformations in Microsoft Power BI. The dataset is available through DataSF.
