About our racial equity plan

This plan was developed after 12 months of collaborative work in the Department of Child Support Services. 

It provides action steps to create a diverse and equitable organization so we can:

  • Attract the best employees
  • Adapt new technologies to meet the needs of a diverse client population
  • Allocate our resources as effectively as possible

It also strives to create a learning organization where:

  • Employees own their growth and development
  • Management is accountable to encourage collaboration across all levels 

We'll continue to review departmental policies and practices to unearth and change those that create disparate racialized outcomes.
