Get lead training and certification
Fix Lead SF, a City Program, will pay the cost when you work on its projects to reduce lead dangers in paint and soil.
What to know
Types of lead certification
- Inspector
- California Department of Public Health as a lead-certified Inspector
- Contractor (need both of the following)
- California Department of Public Health as a lead-certified Supervisor
- Environmental Protection Agency as a lead-certified firm
No cost when you have:
- Certified Inspectors
- Completed one Fix Lead SF project assigned to you
- Certified Contractors
- Accepted your first project or after you had submitted three project bids
What to do
What to do
- Contractors, you may already be an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certified firm. If not, learn how to become a certified firm.
- Follow the steps outlined by CDPH and EPA and get your certifications. Save the receipts from the training courses, exam registrations, and certificate applications.
- Send a copy of your receipts, your certificates, your company name, and your address to Fix Lead SF. Be sure the receipts have the name of the vendor and the date that you paid. You can send the documents by email to fixleadsf@sfdph.org.
