The Controller's Office will lead and facilitate a working group that includes the Mayor’s Office, Board of Supervisors, Controller, SFMTA leadership, community partners, and members of the public to gather public input, identify solutions, and provide recommendations to address the near-term and medium-term funding gap.

The City and County of San Francisco’s Refuse Rate Board regulates refuse collection and disposal in San Francisco. The Refuse Rate Board will convene for a public hearing on September 30th 2024 in San Francisco City Hall room 400 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. to hear updates relating to the current 2024 and 2025 Rate Order from the Refuse Rates Administrator, San Francisco Environment Department, San Francisco Department of Public Works, and Recology. This is discussion item and the Board will hear public comment.
