Information about our team at the Department of Police Accountability and how we educate the community about police oversight.


Our division uses a community-based approach to help the public understand police oversight. We work with San Franciscan leaders, advocates, and organizations to educate our community about the Department of Public Accountability (DPA) and its services.

  • Hosting online events, like panels and presentations about DPA’s work
  • Attending online community meetings
  • Engaging with San Franciscans on our social media pages

Meet us in person

Our in-person outreach includes: 

  • Attending community meetings, discussions, fairs, and events
  • Hosting public town halls 
  • Being available at every Police Commission meeting
